The Temple Isaiah Mens
Club meets monthly on Sunday mornings for brunch and is one of the
temple's premier service organizations. Mens Club's roots go back
almost to
the beginning of the Temple. We have contributed in many
different ways, serving the needs of the Temple for well over two decades.
Our brunch
meetings are held in Temple Isaiah's beautiful new Synagogue. Start and end times are
convenient for those dropping off / picking up from the TI Religious
School. We feature a guest speaker at each meeting. On occasion, we
meet at an alternative location and do things like taking an underground tour of Camden Yards. Guest
speakers come from all occupations and backgrounds, including
government officials, medical professionals, journalists, authors, and prominent
sports personalities.
In 2004 the Mens Club held a major fundraising activity in support of Temple Isaiah,
the Matzohball 5k run/walk at Centennial Park. It was a huge success, as was the
picnic we hosted for the whole TI family after the run/walk. We
repeated our successful fundraiser in 2005, but held the Family
Picnic on the grounds of our new Synagogue. The Mens Club intends to continue to make major contributions to
the temple’s new building and growing list of programs, and to provide additional funds for
critical temple needs. Not neglecting the social needs of our
membership, we have hosted golf outings, Casino Nights, and
our
annual Shabbat dinner at TI, as well as several Mystery Dinners.
Join us and make new friends, have a great Sunday brunch, learn from
our guest speakers, and above all, become a member of a legacy of
Temple Isaiah.
